Empty stomach cardio controversy

Posted by fitnesswriting on May 6, 2009

Joel Marion posted a “truth”-post about working out on an empty stomach vs. working out with something in your stomach.

Maybe it’s just who I am, but if you make one of these “you’ve been lied to for years – but I know the truth”-types-of-posts then you better back it up by specifically linking to the body of evidence you’ve dug up from research papers.

Without that transparency one truth is as much a myth as the other myth it’s trying to knock to the ground.

Claiming to know the truth and refer to scientific research as the proof of your own truth without actually telling which research papers you’ve been reading makes little sense.

If all we need to turn an idea or theory into fact is put “recent research has shown” or “several studies” or any statement like that then we don’t need any research at all.
